About Us

Community Rising Therapy is a provider of Early Intervention Therapy for children ages birth to three years old. Therapy takes place in the home and is provided at no charge to families living in Pennsylvania. No insurance is required. Our service locations for Early Intervention include Venango, Crawford, Clarion, Forest, Warren, Clearfield, Jefferson and Centre counties in Pennsylvania.

Meet Our Family

Jessica Walls/Shaw M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Founder and Owner

Jessica is a Speech Language Pathologist living in Central Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s degree from Clarion University and has since worked with individuals of all ages. However, Jessica’s primary focus has always been working with children who have autism and emotional and behavioral disorders. Jessica is always up for a challenge and enjoys helping children find their voice whether through sign language, picture boards or speech generating devices. She describes her work as, “The most challenging, yet rewarding process; every day is a new day, and we never know what our kids will accomplish with the right tools” 

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and foster child as well as public speaking to educate and inspire others.

Carrie Stanish M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Owner

Carrie is a Speech Language Pathologist from Northwestern Pennsylvania.
She earned her Master's degree from Clarion University, and has since worked primarily with children. Carrie says, "My passion is working with children. I love watching them learn and achieve new goals."

In her spare time, Carrie enjoys spending time with family and volunteering with community programs such as 4-H. She partakes in several community programs which work with local youth.

Hayley Moses M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Hayley Moses is a Speech Language Pathologist from Northwestern Pennsylvania.
She earned her Master's degree from State University of New York at Fredonia and has since worked with individuals of all ages. Hayley gained her pediatric experience during her time at the Intermediate Unit. Hayley says, "Speech Pathology challenges you to use your mind, in combination with your humanity to do meaningful work that feeds your soul."

In her spare time, Hayley enjoys spending time with family and friends.

McKenzie Reck M.S., CCC-SLP/L

McKenzie is a Speech Language Pathologist living in Northwestern Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s degree from Clarion University and has since worked primarily with children. McKenzie says, “I truly love being a speech pathologist. There is no better feeling than that moment when an individual overcomes a communication obstacle and you were a part of their journey no matter how big or small. Helping others succeed has always been, and will always be a passion of mine.”

In her spare time, McKenzie enjoys spending time with her fiancé and family and reading.

Jaymee States M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Jaymee is a Speech Language Pathologist living in Northwestern Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s degree from Clarion University and has used this to work with children since graduating. Jaymee says “I have always enjoyed helping children grow and achieve their goals. Speech therapy has allowed me to make a deeper impact on each child’s life.”

In her spare time, Jaymee enjoys spending time with her husband and chasing after her adventurous son.

Katharine McCracken M. Ed

Katharine is a Specialized Instructor who earned her Bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration on special education from the University of Colorado Denver. Katharine has experience working with children of all ages who have a wide variety of special learning needs. She has a passion for helping children with diverse needs meet their full potential.

In her free time, Katharine enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her daughter, husband, and two dogs.
